Responsibilities
* Perform a wide variety of design and drafting duties that utilize Computer Aided Design / Drafting (CAD)
* Supply detailed engineering drawings to the Engineering Department
* Be involved in project work in the Engineering workshop
* Provide drawing work and support to produce a range of machines and spare parts for both the tile and brick divisions
* Support maintenance teams with improvements to production processes
* Work with a small team in the drawing office, closely with Engineering Staff and Engineering Team Leader, and keep the Engineering Manager informed of all developments
* Draw and design machinery and spares to a good engineering standard using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Negotiate prices and order parts required for maintenance and project work from reputable suppliers with knowledge of Wienerberger requirements
* Liaise with managers and chargehands from other sites requiring project and development work; visits to sites to take measurements and sketches
* Record engineering CAD drawings and machinery specifications into registers and ensure traceability by machine number
* Create spare parts manuals for a large variety of machines at several sites
* Carry out risk assessments and method statements for on-site engineering / project work to comply with HSE requirements
* Coordinate with engineers and fabricators to achieve on-time, within-budget results
* Provide cover and support in times of absence for the Engineering Manager and Team Leader
* Ensure conformity with the company’s health, safety and environment procedures (including consultation with the Health & Safety Manager where appropriate)
* You may be required to travel around the United Kingdom or abroad as reasonably required
* Hours of Work: 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday
About You / Qualifications

* Ability to work in a busy environment, be flexible and adapt to different daily priorities to keep the factory running efficiently
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit)
* Solid technical drawing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of engineering design and construction principles
* Construction, Manufacturing, or Engineering Intermediate or Advanced Apprenticeship
* Level 2 Award in 2D CAD; Level 3 Award in 2D CAD; Level 3 Engineering Design
* Strong teamwork and good communication (written and verbal) skills
* Good knowledge of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processes
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities
