Are you a passionate and motivated chef looking to take the next step in your culinary career? We're currently seeking a Sous Chef with at least 1 year of experience to join our dynamic kitchen team at No1a Duke Street,part of the Portobello Pub Company,operating over 20 vibrant venues across London.
About the Role:
As Sous Chef,you will support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen,ensuring high standards of food quality,hygiene,and service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to bring their energy and creativity to a fast-paced,professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes
* Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* Support stock control,ordering,and inventory management
* Help train and motivate junior kitchen staff
* Maintain a clean,organised,and safe kitchen environment
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Passion for fresh ingredients and seasonal menus
* Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
