Job Description:
As part of our continual development, we have recently launched an Accident Repair facility, situated within our vehicle refurbishment centre in Middlewich. Due to this expansion and increasing work volumes, we are looking for additional Panel Beaters, Painters, MET, and Vehicle Prep Technicians to join our team and help maximize this new opportunity.
All positions are on a Self-Employed basis, offering competitive rates, excellent working conditions, and optional extended hours with the potential for high earnings and personal development.
As a member of the repair team, you will be engaged in repairing and refurbishing cars and light commercial vehicles, using modern methods and equipment to ensure cost-effective repairs that meet customer, manufacturer, and BS10125 standards.
Your duties may include:
* Working on vehicles from multiple manufacturers
* Following Audatex estimates and industry-recognized repair methods
* Achieving high utilization, efficiency, and productivity
* Stripping and refitting vehicle components
* Repairing or replacing vehicle panels
* Using specialist body repair equipment such as measuring & pulling equipment, body jigs, welding tools, paint booths, mixing and spraying equipment, and smart repair tools
* Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards, reporting faults and defects, and ensuring vehicles are safe upon completion
* Keeping work areas clean, hazard-free, and compliant with H&S legislation
* Liaising with estimating, parts, and line managers to minimize repair costs and vehicle off-road time
* Reporting all components, materials, and consumables used
* Protecting customer vehicles and contents during repairs
* Performing other duties as required
Preferred qualifications and skills include:
* ATA or NVQ qualification (or working towards)
* Wide range of body shop skills and experience
* Familiarity with Audatex, Escribe, and BS10125 standards
* Openness to further training and development
