Company Description

Young Veterinary Partnership is a group of three first‑opinion small animal practices based around West London, dedicated to high‑quality, compassionate care.

The teams provide preventative healthcare and a wide range of treatments, including neutering, orthopaedic surgeries, and laparoscopic procedures. Both Ealing and Hounslow have digital Xray facilites and brand new on‑site Idexx laboratories.

As a registered training practice for veterinary nurses, the Hounslow practice supports structured learning and professional growth. The practices are committed to high clinical standards, excellent client communication, and a supportive team culture. Continuous professional development (CPD) is actively encouraged and supported for all team members.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site RVN role based in Hounslow. The RVN will support the practice, inpatient care and theatre, including preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anaesthesia, and assisting with recovery.

Daily responsibilities include providing high‑quality nursing and pet care, administering medications, performing basic laboratory tests, maintaining accurate clinical records, and ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment.

The role also involves educating clients on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and post‑operative care, as well as participating in nurse clinics where appropriate.

The Veterinary Nurse will collaborate closely with the wider clinical team and contribute to a positive, learning‑focused practice environment.

The ideal candidate will be working towards or already a clinical coach.

Qualifications

* Solid foundation in nursing, including inpatient care, surgical assistance, and clinical record‑keeping.
* Strong animal care and pet care skills, with a calm, compassionate approach to handling and supporting patients and clients.
* Competence in Anaesthesia, including patient preparation, monitoring, and post‑anesthetic care under veterinary direction.
* Laboratory skills, such as in‑house testing, and maintaining lab equipment.
* Working with digital Xray facilites, also for dental procedures.
* Relevant qualification – Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or equivalent, or final year SVN student.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and prioritise tasks safely.
* Commitment to ongoing CPD, high clinical standards, and adherence to practice protocols and professional codes of conduct.
