The team has been supporting clients and employers in Southampton since 1990. We work with adults and young people, supporting them to find and retain sustainable paid or voluntary employment and/or training. The role of an Employment Officer is to work in a person centred way with individuals using the model of supported employment or Individual Placement Support (IPS) to find and secure paid work, voluntary work or training appropriate to each client’s support needs and aspirations. For this vacancy you will require excellent communication skills to maximise opportunities for each client, employer and service delivery partner. You will need to be flexible, organised and adaptable to ensure each client receives the highest calibre of support on their journey into employment. You will be required to support clients at locations across Southampton. Having a Level 4 qualification in Information Advice & Guidance (or equivalent) or working towards, is essential for this role.
