Local County Council are looking for Vehicle Passenger Assistants to assist in transporting vulnerable people and children within the county.
You will be working split shifts (2 hours AM / 2 hours PM) based in various locations to suit you, throughout Leicestershire including Coalville, Loughborough, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray and Croft, paying £12.66 per hour.
The positions are to providing a transport service for vulnerable Service Users, ensuring their personal well being and safe/secure travel at all times.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role - This will bereimburseonce you have completed 6 weeks worth of work
Duties:
1. To assist the passengers on and off the vehicle as well as securing them and their wheelchairs in the vehicle with appropriate safety restraints.
2. To assist with the fitting/removing of specialist seats and equipment as required, ensuring adequate seating is available at all times.
3. To be responsible for the safety, general welfare and respecting the personal dignity of Service Users visited or passengers transported, reporting to the Senior Officer on duty or Transport Section, any accidents, incidents or difficulties incurred.
