Job Description Integration Engineer (Supportability) - Submarines Full Time Derby – Hybrid (3 days minimum in office) The “Integrated Product Support – Integration” team is focused on making sure that the support solution for future designs of submarine is set up to optimise boat availability and cost. Key activities include design influence, identifying and integrating key support activities (e.g. maintenance, spares, support equipment, etc) and producing technical documentation. Supportability influence is a key business topic at present. It is a vitally important we get the support solution right for Dreadnought, SSNA and beyond. The projects will be incredibly fast paced with delivery dates which are challenging. It is essential the applicant is pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable with managing ambiguity. What you will be doing: Acting as a technical integrator – Working to ensure that the Dreadnought and SSNA support solution is set up optimally. Production of technical reports/processes etc. to a high standard. Collaboration with Customer & Enterprise partners, defining requirements & shaping the approach for the operational platforms. Responsible for delivery to cost, specification and programme. Work closely with the project engineer and multi-discipline teams to develop detailed plans and estimates to meet business objectives. Acting as Technical Integration Lead across varying tasks and projects. Coordinating within the business to ensure timely delivery & quality Coordinating & collaborating with the wider enterprise & Customer to resolve technical issues Attend enterprise-wide integration meetings Producing technical reports and letters, as required Position Qualifications: Must have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent level of continuous professional development and experience. Ideally have experience of design work related to a submarine NSRP. Willingness for integration and collaboration across the business & wider enterprise. Knowledge of Submarine NSRP system &/or Secondary System desirable For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.
