Working as part of a team and being responsible to the Business and Facilities Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the cleaning within the home is properly maintained to a high standard including attention to matters of health & safety and hygiene regulations and working within the Kitchen. The main duties & responsibilities include:
* Ensure all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned.
* Ensure all equipment is used and stored as necessary.
* Ensure regular checks of equipment and report any deficiencies.
* Check equipment is safe and working.
* Carry out extra spring/deep cleaning tasks as required.
You cover laundry or catering general assistant duties in line with the requirements of the home, and subject to necessary training for the role
You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with older people, some of whom are living with Dementia. Ability to work comfortably in a Christian environment, operate within professional boundaries and within Older People Services Values are necessary prerequisites for the post.
You must have a good attendance record and be of smart appearance. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of COSHH, the Ability to lone work and under pressure, a flexible approach and good time keeping skills. Training will be provided.
