Transport Planner
Location: Huddersfield. Salary: Up to £35,000 plus £1,000 shift allowance.
Must Haves
* Logistics/planning experience
* Ability to work early, late and weekends
* Live within a commutable distance
* Strong attention to detail & organisational skills
* Confident IT skills (Outlook & Excel)
* GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C+ in Maths & English
* Ability to interpret data & prioritise workloads
* Team player with strong communication skills

Hours
Rota-based 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am, following a rota pattern that changes every 12 weeks. This will eventually move to a 4 on / 4 off pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate delivery schedules efficiently
* Use computerised planning systems to optimise routes and resources
* Ensure safe, cost-effective service for all customers
* Provide excellent customer service
* Manage operational and administrative tasks
* Work independently and handle challenges in a fast-moving department
* Prioritise tasks and respond quickly to issues as they arise
Optional Qualifications / Skills
* Knowledge of UK geography
* Experience with WinDMS
* Own transport
* Transport industry or planning experience
* Understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations
Additional Qualifications
* A-Level education or equivalent
