Role: Senior Support Worker
Pay Rate: £13.16 per hour
Shifts: Days
Full time: 36 hours per week
Duties Include
* To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork/audits.
* Provide emotional and practical support for the people you support and the team.
* Support the people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
* Build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
* Accurately report, record, and maintain records as required and work to care plans.
* Completing and supporting with audits and medication rounds.
* Support the Team Leader with the daily running of the shift.
Person Specifications
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* A full UK manual driving licence is desirable.
* An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
* Ability to multi‑task.
* Good time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
