Waking Nights Support Worker Residential Children s Home (Learning Disabilities)
Location: Ashbourne
Salary: Up to GBP27,500
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We re recruiting on behalf of a warm and supportive Residential Children s Home in Ashbourne, seeking a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to join their close-knit team. You ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and emotional well-being of the children during night hours.

What You ll Be Doing:

* Providing overnight care, ensuring safety and emotional well-being

* Supporting children with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified way

* Encouraging independence and involvement in daily routines

* Creating a nurturing environment and building positive relationships

* Working closely with other professionals, families, and your team

* Keeping accurate records and promoting safeguarding at all times

What We re Looking For:

* Experience in care (especially with children or learning disabilities) is desirable

* Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is a bonus

* Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Full UK driving licence with business insurance required

* Flexible to work waking night shifts, weekends & holidays
