Senior Social Worker - Children with Disability

This role is with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust in the Disabled Children’s Team. The DCT is a supportive and committed team of practitioners who strive to achieve positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children in the county.

Base pay range

* SWE Registration paid yearly (social care colleagues)

About the role

We are looking for talented Senior Social Workers to join a Disabled Children’s team within the Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to enrich your work experience and career in the Disabled Children’s Team. The DCT is a supportive and committed team of practitioners who strive to achieve positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children in the county.

As a Senior Social Worker you will be skilled in supervision, performance management and improvement techniques to ensure high quality of practice. You will be able to manage a complex and diverse caseload to the required standards.

What you will be doing

The role is responsible for providing practical and social work support for disabled children and their families. This involves holding a more complex caseload, visiting children and families, carrying out interventions, reviewing the work undertaken, direct work with children and families and any other work identified as necessary. All work must be based on best evidence and good practice, prioritising the best interests of children and young people.

About you

You should be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and have the commitment and passion to deliver best practice and support to disabled children and families. You will be able to manage a complex and diverse caseload to the required standards, and be confident in your analysis and decision making to deliver purposeful and effective social care. You will be skilled in supervision, performance management and improvement techniques to ensure high quality of practice.

Requirements

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Barred List check.
