I am looking for a kind, nurturing individual to support my fun-loving 13-year-old son.
My son is Autistic with ADHD and sensory differences. He enjoys playing with Lego and playing video games. He has a great imagination and loves playing role play games. He has a great sense of humour and likes to make people laugh.
My son is very sensitive to his environment, but also very inquisitive, with an overwhelming drive to learn and discover.
Requirements:
Experience and understanding of neurodiversity is important, with a desire to learn more every day.
An ability to be very patient and to try and understand him mentally and emotionally, to ensure he is calm and happy, as much as possible, using a nurturing child-centred approach.
The ideal worker will be able to build a good relationship with this young man, based on his interests.
A car is desirable, but not essential.
The role is a minimum of 5 hours per week with the potential of more hours being available.
