Aspiring Educational Psychologist in Addlestone, Surrey.
We are seeking a dedicated aspiring Educational Psychologist to work as a Learning Support Assistant supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH, and associated challenging behaviours. You will work in a friendly, energetic and creative team at a school that caters to children aged 3‑19 with SEN.
About the School
The school has a Therapy Department staffed by qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Therapists work within a blended model of therapeutic intervention delivered across the curriculum with close liaison with teaching staff and parents.
Role Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work closely with therapists, providing 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils, planning learning activities, encouraging social skills development, and delivering academic and pastoral support.
Professional Skills & Requirements
* Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
* Able to plan learning activities to suit pupil ability with support from a teacher
* Able to encourage development of social skills and support students' individual needs
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to provide academic and pastoral support
* Aspiring Educational Psychologist or Clinical
* Experience working with young people with special needs desirable but not essential
* Able to commute to Addlestone

Full‑time (Mon‑Fri), £93‑£105 per day depending on skills and experience.
Excellent on‑site training, support and CPD provided. You must have right to work in the UK. Candidates registering with Academics will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS.
