JOB SUMMARY
To support the Goods Inwards and production in process Inspection.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* To work closely with Quality and production personnel to carry out Inspections of material and finished assemblies against drawings and industry and company standards.
* To produce Certificates of Conformity for finished assemblies.
* To liaise with Quality/Production and stores staff, to ensure Inspections are carried out in accordance with company standards and drawing requirements.
* To identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities in finished assemblies and materials.
* To work closely with QA personnel to support Production and Customer Services activity to ensure that all material is inspected and passed through in a timely manner.
* To provide goods inwards inspection resource, utilizing the company’s systems.
* Record inspection results, maintain detailed reports, and complete quality checklists.
* Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System.
* Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
* Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organizations.
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them.
Essential
KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience)
* Experience gained within an Inspection environment.
* Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
* Knowledge of Inspection techniques.
* Proficiency in using measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, height gauges, etc.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in QC Reporting & Documentation.
Desirable
* Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance).
* City and Guilds/NVQ in an engineering discipline.
* Basic understanding of ISO 9001.
