What you’ll be doing
as an Environmental Incident Investigation Advisor:
1. Investigate environmental incidents and technical documents for the regulator.
2. Interpret and analyse scientific reports and data regarding environmental impact and operational performance.
3. Conduct root cause analysis to identify event learning and feed this back to relevant colleagues through routine meetings or dedicated training sessions.
4. Respond to requests for information/data from internal and external stakeholders.
5. Working closely with field teams to ensure that incidents have been fully understood and all required actions have been completed.
6. Coach and support team members to improve general team performance.
7. Contribute to discussions regarding pollution reduction initiatives.
What you should bring to the role
8. Previous experience in utilities or an environmental role and/or working with regulatory bodies would be advantageous.
9. A degree in an environmental or related field is highly desirable.
10. Understanding of waste network and waste treatment operations is desirable, but not essential
11. Awareness and understanding of key Environmental Legislation or Regulations. (for example CICS, 16_02)
12. Strong communication skills, both written (including report writing) and verbal.
13. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
14. Be curious and use initiative.
15. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
16. Be passionate about the environment and keen to make a difference.
17. Ability to work to deadlines is essential.

22. Performance Related Pay Plan (PRPP): Max (of salary) = 6%. On Target (of salary) = 3%.
