ROLE DESCRIPTION To receive, scope out, agree upon, and produce all client ad hoc reports, ensuring that STR maintains their position as the leading provider of ad hoc reports to the hospitality industry. To be the subject matter expert to assist all team members globally in the sale of ad hoc products. To be able to provide exceptional service to all clients through effective account management. To ensure that customer satisfaction and loyalty is consistently outstanding, providing the service levels and professionalism that is expected of STR. RESPONSIBILITIES Scope out and produce all client requests for ad hoc products. Ensure that all reports delivered adhere to STR’s Trend Report guidelines, to maintain our reputation for accurate, confidential data. Be proactive in upselling opportunities with clients, ensure that all additional product options are presented – listen to the client requirements and match suitable products accordingly. Liaise with Industry Partner colleagues to provide feedback and updates on clients where there needs to be more proactive management, or sales approaches. Manage billing processes, including the charging of credit cards as necessary Work with the accounting team to assist in credit control, ensuring that clients are aware of any outstanding debts during subsequent correspondence Resolve report enquiries in a timely, efficient manner as and when they arise. Monitor and organise records of ad hoc report sales and assist accounting with invoicing requests Work diligently to ensure that Trend department is exceeding the designated turnaround times Ensure that all reports sold are tracked in internal databases Provide excellent client service; resolve report and data inquiries when they arise Work in a global team to ensure that internal and external clients receive answers to their questions Maintain key working relationships with internal suppliers, for example, colleagues across the globe, ensuring that they are aware of the processes that need to be followed when ordering an ad hoc report. Follow and analyse industry trends, and strategic movements by competitors to assess potential market threats and identify potential product enhancements Provide feedback to the leadership on process advancements that could be made Keep up to date with market developments in the industry Attend training and actively seek to continually enhance understanding of CoStar and STR’s products and value proposition Attend marketing events, team meetings, kick off meetings and functions as required Adhere to all STR processes and policies and maintain customer confidentiality Ensure CoStar & STR brand and corporate values are evident to the customer at all times Understand and adhere to the CoStar & STR’s vision and our values QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and understanding fundamentals of the global hospitality industry. Deep knowledge and understanding of the various types of clients and their requirements for data. Understanding stakeholders in the industry as well as the commercial real estate aspect of the industry, bring a network would be preferred. Knowledge of selling hotel performance data within the hospitality industry. Computer literate, experience of MS Office and MS Outlook essential. Highly numerate with an eye for detail and a strong desire for accuracy. Focus on Excel and numeration skills on expert level to check against system as well as being able to handle client negotiations. Identifying upselling opportunities customise client offers to their specific requirements and successfully close deals. Preferred language skills Spanish, French, German Being able to lead small projects within the team/ Project management experience Ability to work with clients, partners, and STR personnel at all levels from C-level downwards establishing credibility and building trusted status. Proactively approaching clients and engaging with them on regular basis directly in face to face meetings as well as digitally. Providing excellent customer service in challenging situations while maintaining STR/CoStar brand standards. Initiative and creativity for new business opportunities. Able to work with internal and external clients to a very tight deadline. Able to interact effectively with people at all levels in an organisation including hotel executives and their staff. Team working skills, potentially already experience in managing teams. Capable of dealing with urgent requests that can come from internal and external clients, while maintaining the turnaround times for other projects. Able to quickly change focus area from region to region. Be flexible and reactive to business needs outside of the scope. Ability to run multiple tasks at the same time, orders at different stages and effective prioritizing of active offers. Needs to excel in a past pacing work environment.
