Location: Hybrid with regular (weekly) working in Paisley (PA1 1EA)
Salary Range: £27,752 - £28,003

British Red Cross are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our busy payroll team. Working collaboratively, you'll support the provision of payroll services to over 3,000 staff.
A day in the life of our Payroll Officer
As Payroll Officer, you will work with the wider payroll department to ensure the timely and accurate processing of salary payments to all paid employees. You'll accurately record payroll expenditure on the organisation's financial system. You'll ensure the organisation meets all statutory and corporate priorities in relation to paid employees.
In a fast-paced environment you will hold responsibility for delivering efficient and effective pension support to the organisation. You'll ensure the society is compliant with the Pension Regulator requirements, meeting the needs of pension scheme members.
On a daily basis you'll support both the Senior Payroll Officer and the Payroll Manager in everyday operations.
This role may be for you if... You have significant experience working within a high-volume payroll environment. Ideally within a shared service centre environment.
You have experience working with integrated payroll and HR systems.
You can demonstrate sound knowledge of payroll and pension legislation.
You can maintain a professional manner while working in a pressurised environment.
You can work to tight deadlines while prioritising multiple tasks and effectively managing your time.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
You have strong organisational and analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
You are confident problem solving using your own initiative and within a team environment.
