Registered Nurse - Same Day Emergency Care

Job responsibilities

You will ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in an effective and efficient manner in an environment which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals, reflecting the overall philosophy & values of the service.To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in line with local and national guidelines ensuring that this is appropriately, adequately and safely documented.To carry out nursing procedures, maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy at all times.


Person Specification


Experience

* Registered Nurse with live NMC Pin
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* To be able to provide evidence of knowledge and skills to post grad level in the following areas:
* Able to make judgements based on evidence based practice and translate this for use in the ward environment
* To be able to demonstrate understanding of current developments in the NHS and their implications for nursing and quality care for patients
* Able to communicate sensitive information to patients and break difficult news
* To be able to demonstrate strong leadership/managerial knowledge and skills

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£31,049 to £37,796 a yearpro rata, per annum
