Robert Half have been retained by Elta Group to recruit an innovative Head of IT Systems in a newly created position within the UK function. The Elta Group Head of Information Systems is responsible for the business information systems and related technical services across the Elta Group of Companies. The role is to ensure that the information systems utilised within the Elta Group support the day-to-day operations and support the business and financial objectives of the business today and into the future. To achieve this objective the Elta Group Head of IT Systems must work to Influence and implement strategy in relation to the information systems position of Elta Group. The Information Systems Strategy will incorporate key information on the stability of the systems utilised across each business within the Elta Group and include but not limited to on-going maintenance requirements, on-going capital investment, future suitability, risk to business and operations including a documented and auditable Disaster Recovery Plan This Document needs to incorporate budgeted costs, be regularly audited and be updated in a regular time frame. The Information Systems Strategy Document needs to be suitable to read and be interpreted by the Elta Group CEO and /or Elta Group Directors for sign off and acceptance. This is a senior leadership position, based in the UK but with a global remit. The role involves partnering with colleagues across different geographies and functions. You will establish IT standards and procedures and promote operational excellence across all areas of technology. Key responsibilities: Ensure a robust and high performing IT infrastructure is in place, which can support delivery of business objectives and operates at maximum efficiency. Maintain and upgrade networks and servers, implementing efficient server upgrades and migrations when required. Manage and monitor controlled access to the company's network and associated systems. Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to safeguard the business against potential threats. Accountable for facilitating software and hardware upgrades, ensuring they are delivered successfully and within budgetary limits. Seek to identify, propose and implement improvement opportunities, ensuring alignment of IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements. Evaluate IT risks and develop network recovery and backup processes. Be the point of escalation for all technical issues. Manage all IT contracts and third-party relationships. Procure IT and telecoms equipment to meet business requirements and recommend appropriate lifecycles for business equipment. Prepare costings, project appraisal and implementation plans for all IT projects. Shape the future of the IT function, aligning it with business needs and capability development. Take full accountability of the fit, uptime, resilience and integrity of all IT estate. Hands on technical implementation and maintenance of IT operational tools. Oversee system upgrades, licensing backups, continuity planning, and supplier engagement. Manage internal systems roadmaps and coordinate with stakeholders on infrastructure needs. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Building and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs Developing strategy for IT hardware and software that supports the engineering team with day to day activities and Elta product development. Direct engagement and support for the engineering teams for Elta products - software, portals and apps. Contribution to the infrastructure, security and management of Elta Products roadmaps Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation in IT service delivery. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Demonstrate strategic thinking and leadership to the wider business, considering cross-business impacts and proactively see/develop appropriate migration. Strong understanding of IT strategy, planning and operations Strong understanding of IT security and risk management principles Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Great IT skills combined with a good head of business Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Ensure that all IT systems and applications are correctly installed and configured. The head of IT is a role that is key in helping the business to grow to the next level. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of IT Operations/Helpdesk whilst helping to define IT strategy and roadmap the journey. Experience: Owning IT Strategy and Technology roadmap for a multi-site organisation.
