About the Home

Close to all local amenities, Madelayne Court is situated in a lovely residential area within the picturesque town of Portstewart on the stunning North Antrim coast. This safe and spacious setting provides professional, person‑centred care for up to 66 people, specialising in residential, dementia and nursing care for those over the age of 65. Our 24‑hour care and nursing team offer kind and compassionate, individualised care, alongside good company and helpful support, in a calm and restful atmosphere. Residents feel safe, comfortable and part of a relaxed community at Madelayne Court.

All private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully‑furnished and include en‑suite bathroom facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture to personalise their space and make it their home.

The home also offers excellent amenities: a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces, enabling residents to maintain their independence within the safest possible environment.


About the Role

As a Care Assistant with Kathryn Homes, you will join a dedicated team united by a profound desire to positively impact the lives of our residents. You will support residents in embracing life to the fullest and promoting independence in a kind and compassionate setting.

About You

You do not need prior experience, although it is beneficial. We are looking for individuals whose empathy and warm‑hearted approach stand out. Successful Care Assistants will have a positive, can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills. Each day brings something new, making for a diverse yet incredibly rewarding role.


Required Criteria

* Right to work in the UK.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A good standard of oral and written English.
* A non‑judgemental approach to others.
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high‑quality care to our residents.
* Respectful to residents and to the values and beliefs of other team members.


Desired Criteria

* Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.

£12.22 per hour
