Role and responsibilities
This is what your day-to-day will look like:
* Be the go-to expert for X-ray across a range of sites, ensuring systems run smoothly and safely
* Take ownership of preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs
* Support junior engineers and champion best practices
* Carrying out routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on DR and CR systems
* Mentor junior engineers and lead by example
* Build strong relationships with customers with clear, friendly, professional communication
* Complete compliance paperwork and risk assessments in line with industry standards
* Collaborate with internal teams to support wider projects and contracts
* Share feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement
You’ll have access to ongoing training and career development, with a path to specialise further or progress into leadership.
Qualifications and requirements
* At least 5 years’ experience working on X-ray imaging systems in the field or hospital setting
* 2 years of management experience
* Familiar with multiple OEMs (Canon, GE, Siemens, Philips, Fujifilm)
* Qualification in Electronic, Biomedical or Medical Engineering (HNC/HND or higher)
* Confident fault-finder with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
* Enjoy mentoring and sharing knowledge with others
* Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to the Midlands for the initial period
