About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll uphold high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
This role is full-time, working 38.5 hours per week on a 3 on-3 off shift pattern.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and are willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge. Your positive energy, ability to get along with others, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
