What You Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will:
* have a passion for working with children
* be able to build positive relationships with children and adults alike
* have an optimistic and positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job
* be patient and able to stay calm and listen to and value the children
* positive about working with young people with disabilities, learning and behavioural needs and working to find strategies to support these children to succeed
* be suitably qualified for the post of Learning Support Assistant i.e. have a good literacy and numeracy skills (to GCSE level or higher)
* have good mathematical skills that could be used to support children working up to year 6 (good understanding of tables, division, problem solving and fractions)
* be able to work as part of a team, and
* have the ability to maintain confidentiality
