Assistant Restaurant Manager
Fowey Hall Hotel, part of the Luxury Family Hotels group, is a luxury family-focused hotel nestled in the breathtaking coastal town of Fowey, Cornwall. We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager with overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of Fowey Hall. This is a permanent role, 45 hours per week (including weekends), with a salary of £32,620 per annum plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of day‑to‑day restaurant operations.
* Supervise and train staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold restaurant standards.
* Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
* Monitor financial performance and assist in budget management.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a great team dynamic.
* Knowledge of current industry trends, food safety standards, and hospitality best practices.
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced, family‑friendly environment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
