Accounts Assistant - Kingston Upon Thames - 8 week contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support our clients finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of transactions. The role is covering sick.
Key Responsibilities
* Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation
* Prepare and issue sales invoices
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Assist with bank reconciliations and daily cash postings
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
* Handle expense claims and petty cash transactions
* Liaise with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial queries
* Assist with payroll administration (if required)
* Support audits by providing necessary documentation
Key Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in a similar role
* Basic understanding of accounting principles
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
