Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) is looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Sales Effectiveness to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping assess performance of a global sales team, identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness, and then working cross-functionally to implement new initiatives and process improvements.
The Senior Manager of Sales Effectiveness reports directly to the VP of Expedia TAAP, and will work hand-in-hand with the Regional Directors and global field sales team. This person will also sit on the Expedia TAAP leadership team. A natural curiosity, a strong analytical skill set, and ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse team across the world are essential for success.
What you’ll do
Your focus will be on identifying opportunities to improve the performance of our global sales team and then drive these ideas through to implementation, by answering questions such as:
* Are the sales teams effectively planning their activities?
* Are the sales teams set up optimally to execute the strategy for the market?
* Are the sales teams approaching the right opportunities and how effective are they in converting them?
* How does performance vary between markets and are there opportunities to improve?
* Are there opportunities to share best practices between markets?
* Are the sales teams making effective use of the available tools e.g. Salesforce?
* How can these tools be improved to enhance the sales team efficiency?
Alongside working with the sales teams, you’ll form close partnerships with other supporting functions, including marketing, analytics, product and technology. You’ll ensure that the sales team are kept informed of new developments, new product launches, and marketing campaigns. You’ll also be the key focal for any systems and tooling changes to support the sales team e.g. Salesforce enhancements.
Who you are:
* Demonstrated experience in working with a global sales team on sales strategy and operations (and ideally understanding of the B2B travel industry)
* Demonstrated experience in process design and improvement
* Able to drive effective sales communication and process training
* Strong working knowledge of Salesforce functionality, reporting, and development lifecycle
* Strong analytical skillset: pulling data from multiple disparate data sources, building models and analyzing information
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research and presentation creation
* Working knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
* Comfortable with ambiguity and imperfect information; demonstrated ability in solving problems creatively
* Very good interpersonal skills and collaboration skills
* Strong bias to action and proven ability to work independently
