About the role:
The Engineering Delivery Manager will focus on bids and projects, leading the engineering team to define, develop, and deliver the solution for bids in collaboration with partners, suppliers, and the customer/end‑user. The role will be accountable for all engineering management aspects of the TS solution, ensuring technical governance and strategy for the life of the contract.
Day to day responsibilities:
* Define the engineering team’s WBS, OBS, engineering lifecycle, schedule, and engineering management plan.
* Direct and lead the team to achieve project stage reviews and milestones against cost, schedule, and quality.
* Ensure successful customer acceptance of the solution.
* Provide strong technical leadership to mature the solution and achieve acceptance, accreditation, and certification.
* Manage project and technical risk and opportunity.
* Implement an objective and predictive monitoring regime to identify issues and risks early and define recovery actions.
* Ensure all activities are conducted safely and comply with legal and company requirements.
* Work collaboratively with the wider project team, partners, customer/end‑user, functions, suppliers, and sub‑contractors to deliver commitments.
About you:
You will have a background in engineering with a strong focus on bid and project work, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complexity. Key skills and experience include:
* Experience as an engineering leader, building a proactive and dynamic team culture.
* Proven capability for complex systems development across the product lifecycle.
* A sound understanding of System Engineering principles, processes, and practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commercially knowledgeable and astute.
* Focus on customers/end‑users.
* Experience of training solution development, integration, and acceptance (desirable).
* Contract negotiations and dispute resolution experience (desirable).
