RF Team Leader – Advanced Communications Systems - Cambridge
I’m working with a well-established and growing technology business developing advanced communication systems used in critical environments. They’re looking for an experienced RF Team Leader to take ownership of a specialist RF design team while remaining hands-on in development.
This is a high-impact role combining technical leadership with real engineering delivery.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of RF engineers
* Driving RF design across full product lifecycles (concept → production)
* Taking ownership of RF subsystem design, integration, and performance
* Supporting cross-functional collaboration (hardware, software, systems)
* Contributing to technical strategy, standards, and design reviews
* Managing priorities, resources, and project delivery
What they’re looking for
* Strong background in RF electronics design within telecoms or related sectors
* Experience leading or mentoring engineers (formal or informal)
* Solid understanding of RF systems (Tx/Rx, antennas, matching, EMC, etc.)
* Hands-on experience with RF design, simulation, and testing tools
* Ability to work across multiple projects and communicate with stakeholders
