This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to gain exposure across both cost analysis and commercial finance, working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders across the business.
The RoleThis is a broad and progressive position, offering a blend of financial reporting, cost analysis and business partnering responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting business performance, improving cost visibility and providing meaningful financial insight.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and analysing costs and variances
* Supporting month-end close activities
* Working closely with operational teams to understand performance and identify improvements
* Maintaining and validating costing data within systems (SAP experience highly advantageous)
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
* Delivering variance analysis and performance insights
* Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to support profitability improvement and pricing and margin analysis
* Financial reporting, controls and continuous improvement across finance processes.
About You
* This role will suit a part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA or AAT Qualified), looking to build a career within commercial or operational finance (study support available)
* At least 2 years experience in a cost-focused finance role
* Exposure to costing and variance analysis
* Strong Excel and analytical skills
* Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) is highly desirable
* Ideally some manufacturing experience
* A proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in developing commercially
* Confident communicator, able to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
