Role Overview
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, fast‑paced Acute Theatre Suite, which offers wide and varied surgical specialties including Maxillo‑Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology and Paediatrics covering elective and emergency procedures.
We also offer Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology training pathways for specific theatre specialties and its team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within both theatre and recovery to meet the needs of the service.
* Perform shift and weekend work, and rotational nights as required.
* Provide assistance across a range of specialties, supporting the multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in a robust induction programme supported by Clinical Educators and an Education Coordinator.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Legal right to work in the United Kingdom (or proof of appropriate visa status).
* Coverage under Annex 21: training period of more than one year but less than two years.
Working Hours & Conditions
The role requires working hours to meet the needs of the service, with flexibility to cover all sites in Fife. The position includes working in theatre and recovery, requiring shift, weekend and rotational night work as required.
Salary
As per Annex 21 for post lasting more than one but less than two years before completion of training: 70 % of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate.
