The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday Dayshift with rotational nightshift and backshift

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, in partnership with NHS Education Scotland, has an exciting opportunity to train an individual to become a registered clinical scientist within the field of Respiratory and Sleep Physiology.
The role will be based within paediatrics at the Royal Hospital for children in Glasgow. We provide respiratory and sleep physiology services to children and adolescents referred from a wide range of specialities from all over the country. We perform on average 6000 investigations per year between our respiratory & sleep physiology laboratories. We have state-of-the-art pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary exercise testing laboratory. Alongside this we have a dedicated sleep laboratory which has four in-patient sleep bedrooms.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2:1 BSc Honours science-based degree. This role will comprise of on-the-job training with rotational components to various departments and an academic component which will involve distance learning and block release at a Higher Education Institute in England. This is a 3 year fixed-term funded training post. You are required to be a good team worker and have patient care at the heart of what you do.
