Wood Process and Energy is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager with Pre-FEED, FEED & EPC/ EPCm experience in Speciality Chemicals, Life Sciences, Petrochemical and O&G Projects. We are open to consider permanent staff and contractor for this role.
Hybrid working with the expectation of working 3 days from our Glasgow office.

The Role
You will be based in our Glasgow office alongside the existing Wood Engineering Team to ensure delivery excellence across assigned projects / portfolios providing project certainty and confidence to our clients, and ensuring robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk.

The Operations business, of which our Glasgow office is part of, can offer a wide range of opportunities which will allow you to develop your skills across a portfolio of onshore projects in different sectors. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. Additionally, we work on UK national infrastructure, refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full-scale commercial facilities.

Expected:
8. Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline
9. Prior background in technical function, and in project engineering predominately across range of projects
10. Engineering Management experience, with some site experience
11. Have extensive experience in an appropriate industry (ideally in EC&I Infrastructure, Power Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical)
12. Have a proven track record in Engineering Management and leading multi - discipline engineering teams
13. Be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work
14. Have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
