Commercial / Business Analyst - Newtownabbey – Hybrid Working

Montgomery Transport are now recruiting for a Commercial / Business Analyst to join their friendly team in Newtownabbey.
About the Role:
Montgomery Transport Group is creating a brand-new Commercial / Business Analyst role to build and lead a data-driven analytical function across the group.
This is a unique opportunity for someone to take ownership of a completely new position, working autonomously to deliver meaningful commercial and operational insight that will directly influence strategic business decisions.
Operating across several business units, within Montgomery Transport Group, using different transport management systems, the business has significant untapped data potential. This role will focus on bringing that data together, creating clear dashboards and reporting, identifying trends and opportunities, and helping shape the future direction of the business.
The role has strong long-term growth potential, including the opportunity to develop into a wider analytical leadership position as the function grows.
Key Responsibilities
* Extract and consolidate data from multiple transport and operational systems.
* Build dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools.
* In-depth customer analysis
* Produce forecasting and performance analysis
* Develop and monitor meaningful business KPIs
* Identify operational efficiencies and commercial opportunities
* Deliver clear, actionable insight to senior leadership team
* Work closely with operational, finance, customer service and commercial departments
The ideal Commercial / Business Analyst:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience managing and manipulating multiple datasets
* Advanced Excel capability
* Experience with Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools
* Ability to turn data into clear commercial insights
* Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
* Experience within transport, logistics or supply chain
* Knowledge of transport / traffic management systems
* SQL or basic programming/data integration experience
* Commercial, financial or operational analysis experience

* Full time position
* Monday to Friday
* Flexible working with hybrid
* Office based in Newtownabbey and occasional travel to England
