The job itself
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguard to join the team at East Riding Leisure South Holderness on a part-time basis. This role involves working an average of 5 hours every Saturday over a 3-week rota.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a busy leisure environment, are passionate about customer service, and take pride in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all facility users.
A RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential for this role.
As a Lifeguard, you will work across different areas of the facility and play an important role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and high-quality customer experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Your main duties will include:
1. Supervising the swimming pools to ensure the safety of all customers at all times.
2. Maintaining high standards of safety and vigilance while on poolside.
3. Setting up and dismantling sports and activity equipment as required.
4. Carrying out reactive cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
5. Supporting the wider team in ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
6. Hold a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
7. Have excellent customer service skills and enjoy engaging with people.
8. Be attentive, responsible, and safety-focused.
9. Be friendly, approachable, and polite when interacting with customers and colleagues.
10. Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
