We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager within the financial services sector, supporting strategic business change and transformation initiatives across savings, investments and protection products. The role sits within a central Change function and will focus on delivering complex, high-profile programmes within a regulated environment, aligned to broader business and operational objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are effectively governed, commercially managed, and delivered in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and business outcomes. You will oversee project planning, financial tracking, risk and dependency management, governance reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring strong alignment between business, operations, technology, and regulatory requirements.
This position requires extensive engagement with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and C-suite level management, to provide clear reporting, manage expectations, and support strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in driving organisational change, embedding new operating models, and ensuring transformation initiatives deliver measurable business value.
The role also includes oversight of third-party suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring effective collaboration and accountability across all areas of project execution. In addition, you will contribute to wider portfolio governance, delivery standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Change function.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven background delivering complex change programmes within regulated financial services organisations. Strong knowledge of structured project delivery methodologies, including Agile, PRINCE2, and MSP, is important, alongside the ability to operate effectively within fast-paced and evolving business environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and drive alignment across multiple business functions. Previous experience mentoring or supporting other project managers would also be beneficial.
This is a hybrid role, typically requiring approximately one day per week in the office, with flexibility depending on business and project requirements.
