About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and qualified HLTAs to support a variety of primary and secondary schools across Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a more senior classroom role, delivering learning, managing groups, and contributing to the wider school environment.
A recognised HLTA qualification is essential. Candidates without the HLTA qualification will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver lessons under the guidance of the class teacher
* Provide cover for short-term teacher absence where needed
* Support the development of learning for individuals or groups, including those with additional needs
* Assist with assessment, feedback, and pupil progress tracking
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy
* Support and mentor Teaching Assistants and less experienced staff
* Contribute to the development of the wider school curriculum and enrichment activities
Requirements
* HLTA qualification (essential)
* Proven experience in a classroom or educational setting
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible, proactive, and positive approach to working in schools
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting all pupils
