Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-quality care to our patient population
* Adhere to local and national guidelines for prescribing

* Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis

Job Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing effective medical care in line with the GMS contract
* Adhering to clinical guidelines and managing long-term conditions
* Handling administrative tasks such as referrals and prescriptions efficiently
* Rotational participation in triage and duty roles
* Maintaining accurate clinical records
* Participating in practice management and strategic planning
* Demonstrating leadership and teamwork
* Implementing best practices through guidelines and audits
* Engaging in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
* Representing the practice at regional meetings
* Contributing to clinical governance, training, and financial management
* Ensuring compliance with appraisal and revalidation processes
* Supporting professional development and training of medical students
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative working
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* Qualified GP with CCT or equivalent
* MRCGP and Vocational Training Certificate
* Full GMC Registration and National Performers List registration
* Appropriate indemnity cover
* Experience in primary care and professional development
* Excellent communication and IT skills, including SystmOne
* Strong time management and interpersonal skills
* Problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience with audit, clinical risk management, and policy adherence
* Ability to work under pressure and flexibly outside core hours
* DBS check and Occupational Health Clearance
Desirable
* Experience with QOF and clinical audits
* Minimum two years as salaried GP or partner
* Experience with medicines management and ICB initiatives
