We're proud to be working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for their Children With Disabilities (CWD) Team.

Responsubiities:
* Hold a manageable caseload of children and young people with disabilities aged 0-18
* Undertake holistic assessments of need under the Children Act
* Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Short Breaks packages
* Work closely with families to develop tailored plans that promote independence, inclusion, and improved outcomes
* Carry out direct work with children and young people with a wide range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and complex health needs
* Coordinate and work effectively with health, education, SEN, short breaks providers, and voluntary agencies
* Support children and families navigating transitions, including preparing for adulthood
* Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, meetings, and where required, legal processes
* Champion a strengths-based, child-focused approach
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
* Experience within a Children With Disabilities, Safeguarding, or other statutory children's social work team
* Knowledge of disability legislation, care planning, and multi-agency working
* Confidence in preparing clear, professional assessments and reports
* Social Work England (SWE) registration
* A BSc in Social Work or equivalent
* Excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and a passion for supporting children with disabilities and their families
