Join our award-winning Pensions Service Centre.
We’re looking for a Pensions Administrator to join our Pensions Service Centre in Sheffield. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our colleagues by delivering accurate, timely and customer-focused pension administration across the Royal Mail Pension Plan.
Working as part of a supportive and expert team, you’ll help ensure members receive the right information and benefits at the right time, while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence across the function.
What you’ll be doing
* Calculating and processing pension benefits in line with the rules of the Royal Mail Pension Plan
* Communicating pension entitlements clearly and resolving member queries with professionalism and care
* Delivering services to agreed quality and performance standards, in line with Plan rules and service specifications
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, aligned to PASA Gold Standard and Royal Mail frameworks
* Keeping your technical knowledge up to date to maintain a high-quality service
* Building positive and effective working relationships with members, stakeholders and Royal Mail colleagues
* Working flexibly across teams within the Pensions Service Centre, including areas such as Activations, Bereavements, Additional Benefits, Payroll, Plan Finance and Pensions Data Management
* Taking ownership of your personal and professional development
About you
We’re looking for someone who is detail-focused, customer-minded and keen to develop their career in pensions.
You’ll bring:
* Strong English language and numeracy skills
* Experience in pensions administration, or a real willingness to learn
* Experience in an administration or data processing environment
* A customer-focused approach with proven experience of delivering a professional service
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to plan, organise and meet demanding timescales
* Effective problem-solving, analytical and reporting skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Flexibility to work across different teams as business needs change
