Overview
A well-established manufacturing business based in South Wales is seeking a Toolmaker / Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is a varied, hands-on role working with lathes, CNC machinery and milling equipment, supporting both tooling and machinery across the site. The business is open to experienced engineers as well as trainee or early-career candidates who are looking to build a long-term career in engineering.
The Role
Manufacturing, modifying and repairing tooling and components
Operating and maintaining lathes, CNC machines and mills
Supporting planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Mechanical fault-finding on spindles, bearings, drives and moving parts
Working from engineering drawings and specifications
Assisting with breakdowns and continuous improvement activities
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
What Were Looking For
Experience as a Toolmaker, Maintenance Engineer, Machinist or similar OR
A trainee / early-career engineer with college-level engineering qualifications
Exposure to machining, CNC, lathes or milling machines
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and develop across both tooling and maintenance
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
