Transport Planner
We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our team and contribute to the delivery of innovative and sustainable transport planning solutions. As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in shaping transportation strategies and providing expertise to both public and private sector clients.
In this role, you'll be involved in a range of transport planning projects, from development planning to infrastructure schemes, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and lead client relationships. You'll be supported in your professional development through mentoring, training, and exposure to a variety of projects.
What You'll Do
·Lead and support the preparation of transport assessments, statements, and travel plans for a variety of projects.
·Provide expert transport planning advice to clients, with a focus on delivering sustainable solutions.
·Analyse traffic data, conduct site assessments, and develop transport models.
·Coordinate and manage project deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
·Work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
·Assist in the preparation of planning applications, including presenting and discussing transport-related matters with local authorities and other stakeholders.
About You
·A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
·Experience in transport planning or a similar discipline, ideally within the UK planning context.
·Proficient in using transport planning software, such as ARCADY, PICADY, or similar.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
·A proactive and solutions-driven approach to your work, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
·A desire to continue developing your professional skills and expand your career in transport planning.
