We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Thurrock, Essex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon. This role is full time for 41 hours per week, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The practice is looking for an experienced forward-thinking Vet to join their existing team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs and a non-clinical support team including a practice manager.
This is a bright modern and spacious practice which can provide onsite parking. It is fully equipped with all the toys to industry standards including ultrasound, in house laboratory, and digital radiograph. They are also fortunate to have access to a CT scanner and a full endoscopy and laparoscopy unit at their partner practice close by. This offers the Vet the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in these areas. The practice also has a visiting orthopaedic surgeon that comes once per week again offering the Vet ongoing learning opportunities.
Who are they looking for?
The practice is looking for a vet who is confident in routine surgical cases and consultations. Ideally the Vet will have an area of special interest that they would like to pursue. The Vet will have a minimum of 1 years' experience and be capable of some sole charge responsibility.
The practice provides clinical freedom to the Vets and the opportunity to work in a varied caseload environment.

About you:
26. You will be competent in routine surgeries and consultations and be able to perform routine surgeries on your own
27. You will have strong medical skills
28. You will be comfortable with some sole charge responsibility
29. You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
30. You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
31. You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
32. You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
