Job Overview
Provide security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any subsequent changes, protecting customers’ property, people and/or assets.
* Ensure performance meets or exceeds Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements.
* Take full responsibility and accountability, delivering a service that supports contract retention.
* Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
Operations
* Ensure compliance with policies, legal and regulatory requirements, as directed by the Security Account Manager and UK law.
* Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AIs).
* Proactively review the Assignment Instructions, familiarising yourself with changes and suggesting amendments that improve service levels.
* Maintain and wear the required front‑line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA Licence at all times while on duty.
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development, as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
* Ensure licence renewal 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards immediately on site.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative by involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry promptly after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are made at the allocated time slots as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous security experience.
* SIA Licence.
* SC Clearance desirable.
