Bracher Rawlins LLP seeks a 3 to 4 years’ PQE Employment Lawyer
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with our Head of Employment on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a diverse client base, including SMEs, senior executives, larger corporates and individuals.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision while contributing to the wider team and firm initiatives. You will have direct client contact, strong involvement in business development, and help shape a dynamic and forward-thinking employment offering.
Key responsibilities:
* Advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment law issues.
* Running Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and negotiating settlements.
* Drafting employment contracts, service agreements, policies and handbooks.
* Advising on workplace investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and TUPE.
* Advising on director and senior executive exits, protection of confidential information and restrictive covenants.
* Supporting corporate transactional work, including due diligence and employment-related drafting.
* Managing client relationships and delivering clear, commercial advice.
* Assisting with thought leadership, marketing initiatives, and business development activities.
Skills & experience:
We are looking for someone who brings a blend of technical ability, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential
* 3–4 years’ post‑qualification experience in employment law, ideally within a well‑regarded firm.
* Strong knowledge of both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
* Experience handling Employment Tribunal litigation independently.
* Excellent drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic, business‑friendly advice.
* Confidence in managing client relationships and contributing to client development.
* Ability to work proactively, manage deadlines, and handle competing priorities.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to support wider teamwork.
Desirable
* Experience assisting on corporate transactions.
* Interest in business development, networking, and producing employment law content.
* Familiarity with advising senior executives on exits, settlement agreements and restrictive covenants.
