We are working on behalf of our prestigious client, who have been in business since the early 1900’s and they are the UK’s market leader in the manufacture of Waste management vehicles. There famous brand name is seen on the front of leading waste management companies cabs everyday across the United Kingdom’s streets.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and dynamic multi-disciplined, process quality inspector to join their Worksopp team.
Purpose:
Work with all areas of manufacturing to ensure processes and procedures at all stages are producing quality products.
Monitor parts and materials at Goods Inwards that have been identified as critical or problematic.
Assist in the final inspections of finished vehicles when required to meet the needs of the business. Confirming that finished vehicles are completed in accordance with customer’s requirements and thoroughly tested. Ensuring that the quality of the finished vehicle is as high as possible.
Ensure all vehicle builds comply with Type Approval / legislative requirements.
Duties and resposibilities
Monitor all levels of Quality from parts supplied and manufactured, through to Final Inspection and Gate Release.
Ensure that all build standard criteria is recorded on the PDI or build documentation.
Collate quality improvement data and feed back to the relevant areas of Production.
Collect and utilise the quality data in a constructive manner.
Carry out in-process quality audits.
Promote constructive dialogue with all areas of the business to agree and implement quality, process or cost improvements.
Assist with the inspection and testing of finished vehicles ensuring they are to the highest quality standards and meet the customers specification and expectations.
Assist with the process of ensuring vehicles are compliant with Type Approval and will pass IVA / VBTA inspection at the first time of being presented.
Assist with the process of ensuring that every vehicle is systematically tested in accordance with the specified procedure and to revise/improve the procedure as necessary.
Ensure any faults / discrepancies noted are corrected before the vehicle is released.
Comply with any other reasonable request that may be made, subject to the needs and objectives of the business.
