Manager, Supply Chain and Operations, UK
It is clear that supply chain and operations are at the forefront of organisations’ strategic priorities, as supply chains recalibrate to address unprecedented global uncertainty, volatility and risk. This role involves working with public sector and private sector clients to optimise and transform supply chains, operations, net zero and procurement operations.

You will develop leadership and management abilities by working in cross-functional teams across EY’s Consulting, People and Technology practices. You will deepen your technical and sector knowledge by working with clients in project teams and using cutting-edge technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Internet Of Things (IoT) and blockchain.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, you’ll balance internal and external responsibilities, including client work, business development support, operational delivery, team development and personal growth. Focus on our clients:
* Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and be a trusted advisor in at least one area of supply chain (e.g., operations, planning, procurement, manufacturing).
* Be adept at problem-solving with clients and project teams, helping to manage projects to completion.
* Develop experience and relationships across several clients over time, often as part of a global EY team, while maintaining focus on current project delivery.
Develop our business:
* Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase leading practices.
* Engage the market with thought leadership and enhance our methodologies.
* Work with internal sector and account teams to develop your network and bring EY’s expertise to bear.
Drive operational excellence:
* Support successful delivery of projects and workstreams on time and within budget.
* Ensure high quality delivery by effectively managing activities and deliverables within your remit.
Develop our people:
* Manage and mentor those who work with you and provide career guidance.
* Create an inclusive environment with diverse, high-performing teams that help consultants and clients realise their potential.
Your Experience
Typically, Managers bring practical experience from either a professional services or industry background, with strong technical and management capabilities. Experience across sectors is valued, with focus areas including Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Resources, Government & Infrastructure, Health & Life Sciences, and Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment.
Our Managers should possess good experience in at least one technical area below, with exposure to others as appropriate:
Technical Skills
* Supply Chain Transformation: end-to-end transformation, with design, setup and delivery of people, processes and technology change.
* Digital Supply Chain / Supply Chain Technology: applying and implementing supply chain technology (planning, manufacturing, procurement) including next-generation technologies such as RPA, cognitive automation and AI.
* Supply Chain Planning: demand and supply planning, S&OP, segmentation, inventory optimisation and/or production scheduling; experience with systems such as OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA.
* Commercial & Procurement: strategic and operational procurement, sourcing, contract management, or deployment of procurement technology and analytics; experience with SAP Ariba is desirable.
* Operating Model Transformation: end-to-end operating model design, transformation and implementation.
* Supply Chain Strategy: operating model design, segmentation and inventory optimisation across end-to-end supply chains.
Qualifications
Many Managers have professional body membership or qualifications (e.g., CIPS, IACCM or equivalent). If you have other skills that would be additive to the team, please apply.
