This is a hybrid role requiring regular site visits, enforcement activity, and collaboration with housing and renewal teams to ensure compliance with housing legislation and standards. Key Responsibilities * Carry out regular site visits and property inspections across the district * Mentor and support Housing Standards / Renewal Officers, contributing to high-quality investigative and enforcement work * Investigate housing complaints and assess landlord compliance with relevant housing legislation * Advise tenants, landlords, and stakeholders on housing rights and available remedies * Undertake Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments to identify hazards and enforcement requirements * Assess and enforce mandatory HMO licensing, empty homes standards, and disrepair cases * Gather evidence, conduct PACE interviews, and prepare comprehensive legal enforcement files * Apply the Council’s enforcement policy consistently and proportionately * Prepare and execute enforcement actions includin...
