A welcoming one-form-entry Church of England primary school in Islington (N1) is seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join their friendly and supportive team from January 2026. About the Role
You will take full responsibility for a Year 2 class, planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons that engage and inspire all learners. Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering a broad, balanced, and exciting curriculum tailored to individual needs.
• Differentiating for mixed abilities, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Fostering a positive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and confidence.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth progression across Key Stage 1.
• Building strong, communicative relationships with parents and carers.
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds QTS and has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (not suitable for ECTs).
• Strong understanding of phonics, early literacy, and mastery-based maths.
• Confident in maintaining high expectations with a warm, encouraging approach.
• Organised, reflective, and passionate about professional development.
