Job Title: Occupational Therapist Band: 6 Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS client in Birmingham, West Midlands. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients with stroke and neurological conditions, supporting their rehabilitation and independence. Key Responsibilities Accept clinical responsibility for a complex and diverse caseload of patients, working flexibly as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team. Act as a specialist resource for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers, and external agencies, offering expert advice and guidance in the management of stroke and neurological conditions. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised, evidence-based treatment plans to support recovery and functional independence. Transfer patients’ ongoing care to appropriate services or agencies, ensuring continuity and quality of care. Contribute to the achievement of service specification objectives and key performance indicators. Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise and support junior staff and students as required. Qualifications & Experience BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist Experience in stroke and/or neurorehabilitation settings Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team How to Apply If your experience aligns with this role, apply today!
